The Liver Birds are such a powerful symbol of our city, yet on the other hand the crane represents the contrast in the two sides of Liverpool. I feel that both come together to represent Liverpool as the Capital Of Culture 2008. It shows Liverpool moving forward as a city as the award promises a more beautiful and stronger Liverpool.
