Dyingfrog Arts Network played a key role in the development and delivery of Generation 21, Liverpool Culture Company's flagship schools project for 2008 Capital of Culture.
From the pilot project in 2007 to the DVD-ROM and final exhibition at Liverpool Echo Arena.
Workshops
The format for the Generation 21 project and workshops was developed in consultation with Dyingfrog artists during a pilot project which ran during summer 2007.
Dyingfrog Arts Network worked with a group of schools in Wavertree to develop artwork in response to the theme of "Movement in the City". A series of workshops were designed to promote cross-curricular links and collaboration between schools.
The workshops resulted in three large-scale artworks which were installed at the schools:
Design
Dyingfrog artist David Bixter carried out all design work for Generation 21. All designs incorporated artwork produced by children involved in the project.
Logo Design
The Generation 21 logo incorporated childrens' artwork from the pilot project
DVD-ROM Packaging artwork
Distributed nationally, the DVD-ROM was produced to showcase the project and provide a guide for teachers wiching to develop similar projects.
Exhibition Panels
These information panels were used in exhibitions at the "Find Your Talent" Conference and the British Shopping Centre Convention at Liverpool Echo Arena
